Alberta Junior Angus Association ALL
Alberta 4-H Members showing Angus influence projects: carcass,
steers or females, BLACK or RED in their 4-H Achievement Days
are eligible for the Angus t-shirt. Please contact Val at

**NEW**
PHOTO CONTEST will be held for promotion of Angus & Angus
Influence Cattle. Photos will be used for promotion of Alberta
Angus to the beef industry.
Winners:
first and second place will have their winning photo printed
on a cover of the Alberta Angus newsletter “Angus Angle”.
Also they will receive a prize.
Eligibility:
- Photos must have been taken & entered by Alberta children
aged 21 & under as of January 1, 2007
- Photos must be of cattle showing Angus characteristics (Solid
Black or Red, Black or Red Baldies)
- Photos must not have been published nor have been used in
other photo contests.
- Digital photos are accepted, but must be printed on photo
paper to be eligible.
- Photos must be either 4x6 or 8x10 unframed in size
- Please provide all information on a separate sheet: Name,
age, address, phone number
- Photos will become property of the Alberta Angus Association
and therefore not returned.
- Winners must agree to the publication of their names for
recognition of this contest.
Deadline:
All entries must be received at the Alberta Junior Angus Association
Show in Olds, AB on July 6, 2007 at 10:00 am for judging later
that day. If you wish to mail entries they must be postmarked
by June 15, 2007.

**NEW**
“Design the next 4-H T-shirt” – here is
your opportunity to show your creative side! On a 4”
x 6” sheet of white paper do a pencil sketch and then
add a slogan. On a separate sheet of paper provide your name,
address & phone number. This is open to any Alberta resident
and entries become property of the Alberta Angus Association
and therefore not returned. The winner will have their artwork
on the next 4-H t-shirts and acknowledgement in the Alberta
Angus Angle. Winners agree to have their names published.

1, 2007.

is sponsoring a scholarship for any farm youth pursuing post
secondary education who has been involved in any activity
using Angus influenced cattle. Application forms can be obtained
off the Alberta Angus website www.albertaangus.ca
or downloaded here - application. Deadline date is September
15, 2007. For more information contact the Alberta Angus Association
office.
